Elliott Opens Eyes

After going under the radar, Mt. Healthy athlete Tyree Elliott has a chance to be one of Ohio's top 2014 prospects. FOXSportsNEXT.com caught Elliott in action during the second game of the Crosstown Showdown and came away impressed.

Despite a top performance at one of Ohio State's summer camps, Cincinnati (Ohio) Mt. Healthy athlete Tyree Elliott has gone under the recruiting radar. That changed Wednesday night when the 5-foot-11, 170-pound athlete played a key role in teams opening night victory.

"We've worked hard all summer," said Elliott. "Our offensive line was a question coming in, but they really stepped up and played great tonight and deserve a lot of credit."

On the night Elliott rushed for 95 yards and three touchdowns in only three quarters of play with most of his time at quarterback. However, look for Elliott to be a running back, wide receiver or play in the defensive secondary at the next level.

Elliott did attend a couple of camps and is hearing from a couple of programs.

"I went to Ohio State and Miami Ohio's camp," explained Elliott. "I ran a 4.42 forty at Ohio State and their coach for this area Kerry Coombs said they are going to recruit me. He said all he needs is for my coach to send him a transcript and some highlights from this season."

Other programs Elliott has interest in are Michigan State, Cincinnati and Oregon.
