Bowen, 6-foot-5, 275-pounds, is a junior offensive tackle, and a player drawing interest from college recruiters. "Tank" holds four offers.
"My two recent offers are from North Carolina State and UCLA," Bowen stated. "My first two offers were from Pittsburgh and Toledo. The UCLA offer was a surprise, because I hadn't had any contact with them at all. Donovan (Munger) told them about me and they got film from my coach."
"I like UCLA because they're a top program," he added. "I'm definitely interested and the distance won't be a problem for me at all. It means a lot to me, because it shows my hard work is paying off. North Carolina State asked my coach to email my film, and once they saw it they offered. I would love to get there for a visit, and they saw me in practice before. I watch them on television, and they had a big win over Florida State that I saw."
There are other schools showing interest in Bowen, and two programs that have not offered are sticking out to him.
"I visited Cincinnati a few weeks ago, and we speak pretty often," Bowen said. "I was there for a game and it was great. Penn State has been in contact lately, and they have told me I'm the type of player they're looking for."
"I'm very interested in Penn State, and I might be going there this week with Donovan. He's trying to arrange a ride for us, but I'm not sure yet," he continued. "I like what they're doing this year on the field, and I've always rooted for them. The stuff that happened before doesn't matter to me, because I like this staff and how they play. I really want to visit there this week."
FoxSportsNext will be on-hand to see Bowen and Munger in action this Thursday against Parma Normandy in Ohio, and will have film on both players later this week.
