Indy Standout Davis Commits
Before Davis returned for his senior season, his veteran coach John Hart left Warren Central to lead a team in Illinois. Despite the departure, Davis put his hand in the dirt for the first time and anchored the motivated defense that gave up less than 10 points per game on average this fall. His performance earned the academic standout looks and offers from around the country. "I had offers from a few Ivy League schools and Northwestern came to see me," he reported.
During a visit to see Miami (OH) play their season finale last week, the coaching staff decided to pull the trigger and offer Davis to join the 2013 class. He accepted today and shared his thoughts with RedHawk Insider. "I am really excited about my commitment. After seeing the Farmer School of Business and the Engineering program today, my parents and I knew it the right place," Davis said. He will spend his offseason focusing on adding more strength and becoming a more technical pass rusher. Also, when asked if he had a message for RedHawk fans, he said, "I just hope they know that I am excited to work hard and help return the program back to its winning tradition."
