What is the status of your knee injury?

My knee is progressing well. Day by day, I notice a difference as I keep getting stronger. My cutting, jumping, foot speed, and my confidence are all increasing and I'm feeling great.

What goals do you have for the upcoming season both on a personal level and for the team?

I want to fulfill my duties, as a captain, by helping to lead my team, to the best of my ability, to a state championship. Our team has many goals we wish to achieve. As I mentioned before, we'd like to make another state championship appearance, but come out as the champions this time around. We would also like to continue our regular season streak, by completing a third consecutive undefeated regular season in 2008. We have a very tough schedule this season, so that will be a tall order.

What camps did you attend this summer?

This summer, I attended six camps including: Purdue, Toledo, Ohio U, Miami (OH), Cincinnati and Ohio State.

What do you need to improve to take your game to the next level?

There's always room for improvement and I try to find something new to work on every time I watch video of our games. My primary focus now though, is to continue to strengthen and rehab my knee, so that I can get back to the level of speed and agility I had prior to the injury last season. I want to be back to 100 percent by the time the regular season begins.

What schools are recruiting you?

Cincinnati, Iowa, Miami (OH), Ohio U, Purdue, Toledo, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest.

What schools are you interested in?

Cincinnati, Iowa, Miami (OH), Ohio U, Purdue, Toledo, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest.

Are you planning on taking any campus visits?

Yes. I am hoping to visit several campuses during the upcoming season, to get to know the schools, and their programs and players.

What do you plan on studying in college?

I'm very interested in pursuing a career in Science or Education. I would enjoy doing scientific research work or working in the field of Education.

What are your interests outside of football?

I enjoy a variety of sports, including basketball and tennis. I also love music. Anything that can make a tune, I like to get my hands on and learn how to make some sounds. I play guitar, drums, saxophone, a little clarinet, and a little piano.

Expect to hear a lot from Justin as the season progresses.
